Brooke White was the third performer of the night and she chose the Neil Diamond song “I’m a Believer.”

Diamond was pleasantly surprised by Brooke’s take on the song.

Brooke White took the stage after the commercial break to sing her second song of the night, “I Am… I Said.”

Randy felt she was very vulnerable behind the piano. Nice job!
Paula also felt it showed her vulnerability. She told her what she does works.
Simon really hated the first song because it was like a girl’s night out at a karaoke bar. However, he liked her second song because it was the Brooke they liked. It was a million times better then the first song.

Brooke White went third tonight. She chose a song from the film adaptation of Evita: “You Must Love Me“.

Webber didn’t feel Brooke had a clue what she was singing about at first. He was quite pleased how she sang it after she grasped what it was about.

Brooke messed up her lyrics again this week. Tsk tsk. Not good Brooke.

Randy didn’t feel it was great. The one thing he liked was that she listened to Andrew Lloyd Webber. He felt vocally it was tough.
Paula told her that she must never stop and start. However, she did love the fact that Brooke didn’t overact while she sang.
Simon thought the beginning was dramatic. He felt it became uncomfortable. He told her she would be very disappointed when she watches it back. Simon did admit that he would have handled the beginning when she forgot her lyrics the same way that she chose to.

Brooke White was the fourth person to perform tonight. She chose the famous Mariah Carey song “Hero” from the album Music Box.

Randy liked that she brought a whole singer songerwriter vibe to it. He didn’t like the bridge of the song though. He thought it was pretty good. Paula thinks she is authentic. She didn’t feel it seemed challenging for Brooke. Simon felt it was a bit like ordering a hamburger and only getting the bun. To clarify, it was missing the vital ingredient.

Brooke White closed out the show with the James Taylor song, “You’ve Got a Friend” which appeared on the album, Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon, which was released on April 1, 1971. Carole King wrote the song however and it appeared on her Tapestry album.

Randy didn’t feel it was her best performance. It was just okay. Paula thought the song was a perfect way to close the evening. Simon thought it was like a pleasant walk in the park. It was nice.

Miss Brooke White chose the song, “Jolene” that appeared on Dolly’s album, Jolene.

Brooke opens her song by sitting on a stool, strumming on her guitar and surrounded by three people.

Randy didn’t feel the performance was stellar but the performance was all right. Paula pointed out her consistency again and that she is what record company’s want. Simon disagreed with Paula which was a total change of pace. He thought Brooke lacked any emotion. Huh?

Brooke White was the fifth person to take the stage tonight singing The Police classic, “Every Breath You Take“. She made a slight mistake when she first started singing and playing the piano. The crowd cheered loudly as she finished her performance. Randy thought it was an interesting song choice. The beginning was good. He thought when she got to the bridge and the out chorus he didn’t love the arrangement. He would have loved it without the band. Paula enjoyed the performance more the last weeks. She told her that they can hear one note and know it’s her. Simon agreed with Randy. He felt that she should have stuck to just her and the piano. He said she will stick around for another week. Ryan commented on her starting wrong and then restarting. Surprisingly, she was not downed for her mistake because they felt she handled it professionally.
