Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother shot dead

Tragic news out of Chicago tonight and not just for Idol fans. Two close relatives of former finalist Jennifer Hudson were found shot dead at their home on the south side of Chicago this afternoon. Hudson’s 7-year-old cousin, Julian King, is missing and police are looking for a William Balfour in connection to the crime.

The victims are Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, and her brother Jason Hudson.

UPDATE: William Balfour has been apprehended and taken into custody. However, he hasn’t revealed anything about the whereabouts of Julian King, who is still missing. Because of defensive wounds found on one of the victim’s bodies, domestic violence is suspected.

UPDATE: According to TMZ.com, the Chicago PD are pursuing a car dispute that reportedly occurred after Balfour sold one of their cars without permission.

UPDATE: The FBI is now assisting in the search for Julian King. In addition, it has been confirmed to TMZ that both victims had multiple gunshot wounds.

UPDATE: Julia Hudson gave an interview to the media, asking for the return of her son.

UPDATE: It has been confirmed that Jennifer Hudson was the one who identified the bodies of her mother and brother.

Also, TMZ.com is reporting that there was an ongoing domestic dispute between William Balfour and Julia Hudson.

Balfour’s mother insists her son had nothing to do with the disappearance of Julian King.
