Paula Abdul chose the Billy Joel song “And So It Goes” for her judges choice tonight for David Archuleta.
Randy was happy that Paula chose a dope song. He thinks David can sing whatever and that he’s in it to win it.
Paula felt it was a pure and stunning performance.
Simon thought it was very good, but didn’t contain any surprises. A bit predictable. He didn’t feel it was outstanding.

What did Randy mean by the term “dope song?
I’m assuming he meant that the choice of song for David was right on. But, it also could mean that his performance was good. Sometimes, you can’t quite tell what Randy is talking about.
