Syesha Mercado Sings “If I Were Your Woman”

The third contestant to take the state was Syesha Mercado singing the 1987 Stephanie Mills song, “If I Were Your Woman”. The crowd cheered loudly as Syesha hit the high notes. Randy thought it was the best he’s ever heard her sing and that includes her audition. Shocked and loving it! Blazing hot! Paula told her what is great about that performance was that this was the moment when everyone will remember when Syesha flipped it and became the dark horse that will sail on through. Her upper register and lower was pitch perfect. Brilliant! Simon said it was definitely the best so far. He didn’t feel the end part was as good as randy thought. He thinks there is a limit to her vocal. Paula made sure to say she disagreed with him. Ryan commented on Paula smiling when Syesha started singing. Paula said she knew she was in her zone and creating magic on that center spot.
