David Archuleta Sings “You’re the Voice”

David Archuleta was the next person to take the stage to sing the 1990 David Foster song, “You’re the Voice.” Ryan teased him a little bit about his upcoming prom before he sang. Randy thought it was a strange song choice but David proved if you can sing you can sing whatever you want. David had mad skills. Paula said he could sing the phone book and we’d all fall in love with him. Simon said he sang it well in parts but he didn’t like the performance at all. He thought it was reminiscent of a theme park performance. He thought it was one of those ghastly songs you sing when you have animated creatures around you and people joining in.
