Michael Johns Sings “A Day in the Life”

Michael Johns just took the stage to sing The Beatles song, “A Day in the Life.” After Michael’s performance Randy told him it wasn’t his best. He felt it was the wrong song choice yet again. Randy felt that Michael often forgets that he has a big voice and that he should let it do its thing. Paula said his rehearsal performance was phenomenal. She felt his ear monitor might be affecting his live performance though. She felt he was losing his connection to the audience. Simon made sure to point out that he didn’t feel the ear monitors had anything to do with it. He was proven right just a few moments later when Michael revealed he had not used an ear monitor during his performance. Simon went on further to say that the performance was a mess and he didn’t hit the notes he should have. He felt the entire performance was all over the place. He mentioned that Michael needed to have a performance like David Archuleta.
